PAINTING
TRANSLATIONS
In a process that often begins with collage and/or photography, I “translate” imagery into new mediums and contexts, reworking the visual content into a unique iteration that tells a new story or has a more cohesive composition. This act of visual translation represents the ways we perceive, interpret and experience the world around us.
